He kept buzzing my apt from the intercom downstairs and I kept
ignoring him because I wasn't expecting anyone. Someone must have let
him in by chance and then he rang my door. This whole process took
about 15min only to have me tell him sorry I didn't order anything.
Poor guy.
I told him to try 3a or 3d. Hopefully it was for one of them!

It seems like March/April is the time for birthdays. It was my birthday, and Dave's, a few weeks ago and Freda and Olivia's are coming up this week. So we decided a joint celebration was in order.
We started the night with a nice civilized dinner at The Kingswood. I even wore a long sleeved shirt. The place was interesting and it had a very tv/film/media vibe to it. Everyone was "really, really, ridiculously good looking". We even saw a "celeb", although were all a bit mehh about it (the editor of Marie Claire).
The inside of The Kingswood. This wall was pretty interesting. Not sure if it's meant that we're looking into a room or looking out. I think it's the windows which are throwing me off. I guess it's meant to be looking into an enclosure. That thing you see in the window is a peacock.
Next we headed to an awesome little Sake bar called Decibel. Contrary to its name, the music was at the perfect volume - it was nice to be able to have a conversation without shouting. According to my two friends who had lived in Japan for some time, the place was very authentic (except for the music and service. Service wasn't bad, but it wasn't up to Japanese standards). I didn't realize how many different kinds of Sake there were, and I think I'm beginning to get addicted to edamame. yumm.
Following that we went back to Beauty Bar, a place I've been frequenting a lot lately. It was jam packed last night, pumping out some 80s classics and we got to witness some very not-funky dancing (and Olivia's imitation of it). Unfortunately, when we got there the manicurist was just finishing up for the night (normally you can get a drink and your nails done for $10)!
The photo doesn't really do it justice but as you can see that's a lot
of sausage. Appropriately it was called the "sausage tree" :)
