It's about 12:30am here so I'll need to make this a short post. Went out for a few drinks tonight with Tania, my new flatmate. I'm moving in to the new flat this weekend. Have hired a 1 tonne van, which Saul kindly offered to drive ;) and Alex and Elaine are coming over to help too. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. Haven't done any packing yet...hoping to get most of this done Thurs and Fri night. As mentioned in my previous post I went to Legoland up in Windsor over the Easter weekend. Although it was really aimed at children, it was worth visiting if just to see the miniature cities of the world section. I thought this was extremely well done. They really managed to capture the essence of each major city with just Lego and the level of detail was phenomenal! We did go on a few kids rides however, and funny enough one of them broke down while we were on it (not because we were too big I swear! but due to a mechanical failure). Laura was also keen on the rollercoaster but I chickened out! haha! When I was young I was pretty excited by rollercoasters but i think I must be getting more *ahem* 'sensible' in my old age. Anyway here's a few pics:
ok at first glance it looks like london, but no (!) it's LEGO :)
There were miniature motorized boats and cars even!
A Lego family - maybe what the Simpsons were based on ;)
What would a trip to Legoland be without fairy floss? Or cotton candy as the Amerians would say.. OR... candy floss as the Brits would say..
Laura with our candy floss, which came in a bucket. yes, strange, I know...
Choose your own mixed bag of lollies? Nope, look again - you can buy individual Lego blocks to take home. How cool is that? And I couldn't resist it by the way, so I bought some Lego and a Technics car to build :)
