sorry for the lack of updates. the last week and a half has been absolutely crazy at work. i've been busy preparing for 3 massive client presentations next week and we just keep winning more and more business but really don't have the capacity to service the demand. there have been lots of new grads joining but obviously it takes time for them to get up to speed. this meant several late nights for me :( but the good thing is that it was recognised and i've been told i'm getting some time off in lieu. I've also been given a free ticket to see The Phantom of the Opera on stage with 7 other colleagues next Wednesday.well despite busy times at work i've still managed to have a bit of a social life. Alex, Sian and i went for dinner last weekend at our usual curry hole, 'Indian Flavours'. as usual, it did not disappoint and we were left to face the consequences the next day...i also met up with this guy i met on Gumtree (a UK message board, similar to Craig's List in the US) to play table tennis. it was pretty fun and good to finally make use of my bat, which mum posted over in 2005! for some reason all my friends at work seem to think it's extremely funny that i have my own bat! i'll have to post some pics of our new offices. they're much snazzier now and have large 'break out' areas, which are essentially entertainment areas. here they have make-shift table tennis tables. i say make-shift because they are basically the tables we eat on, which are roughly the same size, and we've just put a net on it. either way, it's good fun and a way to de-stress eg. last week, laura and i stayed playing table tennis till 1am, after finishing work at 11pm.
anyway i think that's all i have to report for now. i plan to have a fairly quiet weekend doing lots of reading and hopefully getting a bit of guitar in there too. oh in terms of house hunting, there is a possibility i may be moving in with a friend of a friend who owns a flat in London Bridge. it will be much closer to work and the city, which at first i was a little hesitant about as i like all the greenary where i am at the moment, but i figure on the weekends if i really want to go to a park i can always make the trip out. will keep you posted.. am meeting with this friend of a friend tomorrow evening for a few drinks.
